Getting Started

Obtaining your Provisional Licence

Before driving you must be in possession of a provisional licence; an application (form D1) can be obtained
from your local post office. Application is made to the Driver & Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA).

Theory - Hazard Perception Test

These two parts must be passed prior to taking the practical test.

Both are computer based, the 1st part consists of 50 multiple choice questions, and the pass mark is
43 correct answers.

The 2nd part consists of 14 video clips of different driving situations, containing certain hazards; these
situations must be identified by clicking the mouse before the hazard actually occurs (potential hazard).
The pass mark is 44 out of 75
